Imagine That!
You’re in a box but it’s not a box. It’s a sports car, a race car—or an SUV. You’re driving on a twisting, turning, up and down road with the breeze blowing your hair and the smell of the sea, or wine country at pressing time, in your nose. But really you’re in the living room and the smell is from the wheezing air conditioner. You’re small, little, and too young to know that your imagination isn’t real. Or you’re well of age and your wife and a couple of friends hanging on to the “Help Jesus Straps” in your rented SUV as you barrel up and down and around and around the drop offs that are Trinity Road connecting Sonoma and Napa and you’ve found that your imagination is real and the source of creative living.
You Need A Strong Imagination.
Every advancement that humankind has ever had started in someone’s imagination. Every great invention began with someone’s imagination. Without imagination we couldn’t have gone into space, to the moon, and without imagination we will never reach the stars. Without imagination you will never reach for the moon, little lone the stars. You need a strong imagination.
There Are Three Things That You Need To Know about your imagination.
It has to be FED. My imagination was fed by authors and Hollywood. When I read a booked that resonated I didn’t just read it once—I read it over and over until imagination became reality. The same with movies. Back in the days of four television channels (!?!) Million Dollar movies played the same movie every day for a week. If I liked it the first night I’d see it several nights. I didn’t understand the principle but repetition imprints the thing repeated onto your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the place from whence imagination comes.
It has to be LED. An untamed imagination, a wild imagination, can get you in trouble. That’s why you have to lead your imagination. You might imagine a sickness and make yourself sick. You might imagine that they’re all against you and become paranoid. You have to you’re your imagination to make it work for you. “Behind The Door” I’ll show you some ways in which you can lead your imagination to create a life of security, serenity, creativity, and abundance.
Sooner or later your imagination has to be SAID. My mother always said, “Boy, you’ve got a big imagination.” She was right. And that big imagination has carried me to places never dreamt of in mundane hours. Of course when you start saying your imagination those without imagination will tell you that it can’t be done, it never will be, you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. But they’re wrong. Imagine That!
Your Life Work this week is to…. Feed Your Imagination…. Read something, visit an art gallery, or talk to someone that really feeds your imagination. Lead… your imagination in the direction that you want it to work. Tell someone that will believe with you what you have imagined (make sure it’s nothing weird! We do not do weirdness at “The Theory Of Everything.”) If you’d like let me know how you’re putting your imagination to use.
Now join me “Behind The Door” where I will share five ways to “Energize Your Imagination”. What you will learn will help you to live the life that you have imagined. To get “Behind The Door” you have to have the monthly password. To get the password you have to sow a monthly seed—the default setting is $20—you can raise the amount and (theoretically) you could lower the amount—but before you do that remember, you are investing in yourself and what you sow is what you grow!
On a personal note—I was happy to see the younger son of my old pastor in service the other day. I gave him a prophetic word that he said was right on and we talked a few moments. I was even happier to find that he came to Docstutzman.com , purchased “The Theory Of Everything” and sowed a fifty dollar seed to get “Behind The Door.” He knows the value of what I’m sharing.
